Students, parents, alumni, retirees, faculty, and staff are invited to the Holiday Book Fair and Bazaar, Tuesday and Wednesday, December 5-6, in Judd C116. The event kicks off on Tuesday with a Coffee and Cider Social, 8-9:30 a.m.
The Book Fair runs both days, 8 a.m.– 4:30 p.m. Our neighborhood partner, 57th Street Books, will bring books for all ages as well as Teacher Wish Lists. The Book Fair offers one-stop shopping for classroom gift giving, spirit wear, and holiday gifts. Wishlists include:
— Nursery (Araujo, Jones, Mandel, Movrich, Younus)
— Kindergarten (Hayward, Ruperal-Sen)
— 1st grade (Luna, Torres)
— 2nd grade (Marinho, Quinones, Harrison–Computer Science)
— 3rd grade (Lambrix, Park, Ruelas, Sushma Lohitsa–Science)
— 4th grade (McCarthy, Sukenic, Weide, Sanders–Science)
— 5th grade (Bloom, Frank, Mitzenmacher )
— All Lower School Learning & Counseling
The Bazaar part of the Holiday Book Fair & Bazaar is a student-led marketplace where LS homerooms and MS & HS clubs can raise money for causes to benefit communities at Lab and around the world.The Bazaar starts after school dismissal on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m., and Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. MS and HS students are also welcome to browse the Book Fair during lunch.
Donation Drive: Office supplies are being collected to donate to an Indian voluntary organization called Vatsalya Sindu Orphanage for boys under the age of 14. Supplies can be dropped off at any time the Book Fair is open (8am-4:30pm both Tuesday and Wednesday.)
