Bookswap 2018 a success! (photos)

Thank you to the entire Lab community for helping make this year’s Bookswap such a tremendous success!

This event would not have been possible without incredible support from the students, parents, teachers, Administration, Facilities team, and the Parents Association.

As a result of the generosity of all the children who contributed their books to the swap, we estimate we collected upwards of 10,000 books! We donated 65 boxes of books to James R. Doolittle Elementary School.

60+ parent volunteers put in 300+ hours to promote literacy to the 1,100+ children who came through the swap. Middle school students donated 3,500+ books resulting in the entire 6th and 7th grades winning a grade-wide pizza party. Ms. Janice Moy’s advisory also won a pizza party for donating the most books from a single Middle School advisory.

A hearty congratulations to this year’s raffle winners:  Abby Poston, Marley Rudbeck, Sean Bags, Ian Benert, Ella Koss, Nyla Forman, Zoe Polsky, Lennox Romero, Kelise Yang, Juliet Sayer.
