Children who were not able to walk to school participated by joining the walkers on the ESH rooftop playground for activities coordinated by P.E. teachers, Ms. King and Mr. Nacu. With great enthusiasm and energy, the children ran, jumped, and engaged in active play activities. Every child who participated received a Healthy Living sticker. Now in its 20th year, International Walk to School Day is supported by thousands of schools in the US, and in more than 40 countries around the world. School communities raise awareness for the need for walkable communities, by walking to school every October.
