The Latin American Spanish Organization (LASO) invites all Lab families to join a great evening of soccer at Toyota Park, on Friday, September 16, 7pm. Specially priced tickets are $25 each.
Please email LASO
for tickets by Friday, September 2 at noon
. You will receive a reply with options for payment. No tickets will be ordered after that time. All Lab families and students are welcome, and Lab students taking Spanish are especially encouraged to join. We will sit together as a group, and if we have 50 people in our group, we will be allowed on the pitch to watch warm ups before the game!
September 16 is also the 206th anniversary of “El Grito” (the battle cry) that eventually led to Mexico’s independence from Spain. LASO will celebrate Mexican Independence Day at Toyota Park, while enjoying a great evening of soccer and comraderie with other Lab families.
LASO was formed in 2012 to foster a strong sense of community for Lab families of Latin American and Iberian heritage including Brazil and Portugal. LASO’s mission is to provide the Lab community with an opportunity to experience the vibrant Latin American and Spanish culture, and promote the Spanish language. We strive to cultivate a sense of identity, community, and unity, by embracing the diversity of our heritage, and our shared language.
