Join us for a terrific year of speakers on topics of importance and relevance to the entire Lab community–parenting, resilience, technology, and more! Our first speaker of the year will be Sara Lawrence-Lightfoot, an acclaimed sociologist at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education. Professor Lawrence-Lightfoot examines the culture of schools, the broad ecology of education, and the relationship between human development and social change.

Show your school pride while cheering the Maroons to victory. To build community spirit, the MS Council selects one day each quarter to help parents, teachers and students cheer on MS sports teams. Snacks and school spirit swag included!
Giant Gym Nights

All Lab gyms, gymnastics room, and pool! Your middle schooler will not want to miss this PE teacher-supervised evening of fun, sponsored by the PA. We are looking for a few parent volunteers to chaperone–if interested, email Claudia Roeder. Please note there is no food served at this event.
About every 6 weeks, Principal Sandy Bixby invites parents to a morning coffee with an open agenda. And Quarterly, Principal Sandy Bixby invites parents to morning and/or evening discussions on a topic relevant to the Middle School experience. Past topics have included the humanities curriculum, the new MS schedule, and technology. To suggest a topic for an upcoming chat, please email one of the members of the MS Council.
7th Grade Roller Skating Party

A fun Friday afternoon and class-wide event for 7th graders. Busses leave directly after school, returning to Lab by 6:30 pm.
