As the incoming Co-Presidents of the Parents’ Association, and on behalf of the Parents’ Association Board, we welcome you to the 2018-2019 school year! The PA is excited for the year ahead. There are many wonderful events and activities planned throughout the school year by the PA and dedicated parent volunteers, with opportunities to get to know fellow Lab families, learn from teachers and invited speakers, see the talented work of students and build our amazing community.
We encourage you to volunteer! It is the dedication of parents that makes the PA successful and helps to enrich the Lab Schools and the experiences of our children. Please take a look at our current list of Volunteer Opportunities or reach out to us. Whether you can dedicate just a few hours this school year or a few hours each week this school year, we welcome your participation and appreciate your help. Please consider attending the Volunteer Fair on September 6, 8-9 a.m. to learn more about the range of volunteer opportunities.
Throughout the school year, the PA will be communicating with you in a variety of different ways. In addition to E-News and the Lab Schools’ website, please be sure to bookmark the PA website: labparents.org. It is filled with important event information, including our speaker series, as well as opportunities to connect with PA Board members, parent volunteers and families. There are four PA Councils that works directly with their respective Principals on events throughout the year. We encourage you to get to know the council members for your children’s Division. Below are links to each Council’s welcome letter.
Whether you are a returning family or new to Lab, the start of school is hectic, busy and exciting!
